Oh those Jonas boys again.....

In an attempt to kind of start coming out about my "closet Jonas Brothers obsession", I would just like to say that their new music video for the song Lovebug is amazing!

I am so digging the nerd look! Probably because I am such a nerd already...haha. But it's such an adorable video. I love the whole theme :)

Sick day.

Hey there my friends/fans/People who read my blog because they have nothing better to do!

Well, I'm sick today. Thank you in advance for your get well messages ;)

The good thing about going to high school online is that I can still do work when I'm sick(...did I say good thing?), so I've been working on tests, essays, algebra and other things too confusing for my teenage brain, while I really would like to be sleeping.

OK so...yeah I'm about to go to the store to buy some chocolate, then come home and watch the Jonas Brothers on dancing with the stars...which I do not normally watch! Oh, the things we do for our favorite bands. Nothing against dancing with the stars, I just find it incredibly cheesy. But hey, I watch American Idol so...I guess I am a little hypocritcal.

Huggles,

Auriana

An old post

I was looking at my old Harry Potter blog that I shared with my two best friends, and I found this post from about a year ago and just wanted to share it with you. I think it's pretty amazing if I do say so myself ;)

Hey.
it's Auriana here and I'm ready to give you your weekly dose of crazy Hufflepuff fangirliness and Wizrock chatter! yaaaaaaay!

So, every week I go roller skating at this weird, little underground place that has like discounted Home school skating hours. The guy who runs the place said that if anyone wants to, they can bring music and he'll play it while we skate. So for the past couple of weeks I've been bringing different WR Cd's, and the effect has just been so awesome! when I brought my Cd's I was just thinking that it'd be more fun for me skating to this music than Fall Out Boy or whatever crap they were playing before. But the atmosphere is just so much more happy now. every one's grinning, even if they don't understand the music at all. and then there are a ton of people who love HP and are huge fans, but have never been exposed to the huge online fandom, and wrock pretty much lives through the Internet so there isn't really any way for them to know about it until they hear some. So we'll all be skating, and someone will stop and look all confused and ask me "Did they just say 'Harry Potter?'" And I just grin and start explaining. It's great. and then at the end i show them all what album i brought and I tell them where to get it and then they go buy it. So as a bonus I'm actually helping the bands make money ^.^
But for me it isn't really about that...It's about sharing this amazing community I've become a part of with as many people as I possibly can. Because there has just been so much more fun and love in my life since I started going to wrock shows and I want anyone who likes Harry Potter even just a tiny bit to know about it and become part of it. And thats another great thing about Wizard Rock. It is so easy for fans to get involved and talk to the bands and get autographs and pictures and...It's just...too good for words. Really amazing. as hard as I try I really can't even begin to describe the feeling of being at a wrock concert. But hey, I'll try.

*takes deep breath*

It's like going down in an elevator at 100 miles an hour and being hugged by Paul McCartney and getting drunk on apple juice and fireworks inside your brain and jumping off a cliff and then sprouting wings out of your shoulders and Disneyland exploding and reforming on the moon.

Hahahahahahahahahah wow. Tell me my explanation wasn't FREAKING AWESOME?! OK...so I might have scared off a few people who were thinking of joining the wrock scene, but trust me...It's the most wonderful thing in the world.

WOW that was long. but I just needed to get my feelings out. I hope nobody actually wasted their time reading this...

HUGS!!!
Auriana.

Wizard Rockumentary!

I saw it for the first time today at a small screening at a local library!
There were probably only about 10 people there, and most of them were fairly kids with their parents. In fact, I think me and my sister were probably the only ones there who even really knew what wrock was. It would have been fun to see it with some other hard core fans who really understood, but there were benefits...such as I won both prize drawings due to the fact that everyone else left before it was over! I won an awesome red Whomping Willows shirt that says "The whomping willow almost killed me" , autographed by both Matt of the Whomping Willows AND Alex of the Remus Lupins. *fangirlsigh*
Also, I won an amazing Ministry of Magic CD and a Tonks! CD! I was so happy!
As for the movie, it was amazing!! i loved every second of it. The DVD will be on my Christmas list for sure ;)

Speaking of Wizard Rock, I got my new Remus Lupins CD in the mail yesterday!! I am totally overcome by wrock!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!

I will write more later. Hugs to all of you,

<3

Omg. I haven't blogged in a month.

(fiveawesomegirls intro music plays)

SO much has happened. Like I finally turned 14!!!! AH!! I got new pink converse and some new vans, books and bookstore gift cards, CDs, awesome amazing prismacolor markers that I've wanted FOREVER, and lots more.

And the next day I got the best birthday present EVER when I went to see The Remus Lupins and the Whomping Willows. I HUGGED ALEX FREAKING CARPENTER. ZOMG!!!! And he said I was "super awesome." I was a lot less nervous meeting him for the second time than I was last year, but I still went into super fangirl mode and was like, ready to faint when he said that. I've heard everyone say that Alex is the best hugger for a long time, but never realized how true it was. I thought it lasted for a long time, but then I decided I might be imagining it, so I asked my friend Sofia and she said "Yeah, It was really long!"
So yay!!

Moving on.

lets see, I read breaking dawn. I liked it, but it wasn't my perfect ending. I didn't hate it like a lot of people did, but I didn't love it either. The first one is still my favorite :) But the release party was sooo coool. I even met an online friend there!! good times.

I don't really have anything else to say, so...

Hugs!

Aaaaand...The Half Blood Prince Teaser Trailer was released! finally!! It was so cool Looks like they are doing a great job on the whole young Voldemort thing. I can't WAIT for the full length trailer and, obviously, the movie! Nov. 21st, baby :)

Unless you speak nerd, none of that probably made sense to you....

Books, sweet books!

Today's project in the HPA's 11 days of breaking out of the Muggle Mindset (www.thehpalliance.org for info) is to recommend a book to a friend.

So here we go...

OVERBOARD by ELIZABETH FAMA
This book is about a 14 year old American girl living in Indonesia, who finds herself in the middle of the ocean when the ferry she is on sinks. I don't read many books that aren't part of a series, because that's just not who I am. but this is amazing, I loved it so much. read it!

VAMPIRATES by JUSTIN SOMPER

When I first heard about this, the title sounded kind of cheesy and I thought it might be lame. But I read it anyway and it's...fantastical :) As you may have guessed, it's about...Vampire Pirates!! Unless you're Ashley and you thought it was Vampirettes, as in female pirates (which would also be pretty freaking awesome):D lol.

HOLES by LUIS SACHER

If you haven't read this yet,you need to come out from under you're rock and read it. that's all I'm saying :)

MAXIMUM RIDE by JAMES PATTERSON

READ IT. Six bird kids, evil scientists, a mutant talking dog, chocolate chip cookies, Really refreshing unique humor...It's amazing.

CIRQUE DU FREAK by DARREN SHAN

Another Vampire story!! man, I love me some vampires! I love to see sooo many different ways that vampires can be portrayed, and this one is another totally unique awesome one. Definitely read!

Well, that's all I can think of right now. Aside from the obvious like Harry Potter and Twilight, which I certainly hope anyone who's reading my blog has read, or you're getting a serious talking too :D

Peace!

H&TP! UNLIMITED ENTHUSIASM! OMG!

When I say Wizard, you say ROCK!

OMG! Just got home from the most amazing incredible unbelievable awesome epic wrock show. Well, partly Wrock. Jason Anderson And The Best, Uncle Monster Face and Math The Band were also there.

I'd heard these bands one or twice before and I thought 'Eh, whatever, they're OK.'
But after seeing them live, I think all three of them are really super talented and most important just plain FUN.

Ahh, Harry and the Potters. This was the first time I've seen them. It was...so amazing. I probably lost like a few pounds dancing. I got a picture with Joe, but Paul was still on stage :( Oh well. Next time :)

I will post pictures and maybe even some videos very soon, but right now I'm going to see if I can sleep. I'm probably too full of left over excitement, but I'll try :)

EDIT(now that I'm not so tired): My throat hurts from singing and yelling, my ears will probably take a few weeks to work properly again, and it will probably be at least a few days before I come down form my Wizard Rock high. I touched little Harry's shirt twice when he came into the audience. :)

The show was so random and insane. We're talking pixy stix being thrown into the audience, balloon animals, free cupcakes, bubbles, professional lobster players, red light green light, and of course, singing about LOVE. All in all, I have never experienced something more awesome, and I can't wait to do it again.
Thanks so much to ALL the bands for the absolutely amazing time I had.

Love you all,
Hugs, Wrock, and Unlimited Enthusiasm :)

7/21/08! Happy birthday DH!

We now present the seventh and final installment in the epic tale of Harry Potter.

I can't freaking believe it's been a year.
This is quite an emotional day for me, and for a lot of other people too, I'm sure.

I'm getting ready for an epic Harry and the Potters concert tonight . this is going to be awesome :D

Everyone should listen to the HPA's new podcast:

Victim of judgmental eyes,

It is incredibly hard to be friends with someone who judges you. Everything you wear, watch, eat, say or do, you feel like it needs to be approved by them first. Can't you understand who I am and that we don't have to have the same taste in music or cloths? That I am not a horrible person if I don't always eat healthy? That it's OK if I sometimes gossip or buy teen magazines?
there are very few people who are exactly like you and you will have very few friends if you expect or require them to all to be like you?

I don't judge you. Can you please stop judging me?

I'm not dead!

Hey!

I realized I haven't blogged for a while, so I thought I'd give a random update. Not that it matters, since nobody reads my blog except Ashley...BUT, here's what's going on in my life.

SO...lets brake it down, shall we?

FRIENDS: awesome. I went to the mall on Saturday, with my friend Alexandra. We had so much fun being complete dorks. like, we walked by Hollister like 4 times, coughing on purpose...because if you don't know, Hollister smells kind of putrid. Like every perfume that exists, mixed together, then maximized by 100 and sprayed in every inch of the store. Yeah...I don't like that store if you haven't noticed. OK, I got way off topic. Anyway, I bought some cool bracelets at Clair's, and then we came back to my house and read dumb magazines until her dad came to pick her up. Fun times :)

FAMILY: Pretty good. I've been having some trouble with my mom...but what else is new? Mothers day was fun...we went to these really cool waterfalls a few hours away from where I live that you can hike up this hill to get a really good view of them...then we went out for Chinese food...YUMMY!

MUSIC: I've been rocking out to this really cool band lately, The Duke Spirit.

BOYS
: Well, nothing much new there...No new crushes or anything...OH, but I do have a funny story...I was at my sisters basketball game recently, and there were these two guys, like hip hop/rapper/gansta looking guys. AKA not my type AT ALL. So I was kinda staring at them, thinking how lame they were...and apparently the saw me looking and thought I liked them. So they started like winking at me and doing the peace out thing...and I was just like "...EW, you totally misunderstood me!" haha.

BOOKS
: I FINALLY FINISHED THE TWILIGHT SERIES! It was...Amazing. I loved it so much. But now I don't have anything to read! Suggestions, anyone? How about this. If you give me a suggestion, I promise I will read it and post a review. sound good? SUGGEST BOOKS IN THE COMMENTS! GET BUSY!

And...I think thats all!

XOXOXO

How The Jonas Brothers Are Slowly Driving Me Crazy: Part II

you know how you can love to hate things or people, like the Dursleys? Well I figured out it can go the other way around, too. I hate to love the Jonas Brothers.

Yeah, I still haven't figured out my Dilemma from a few weeks ago. It's still driving me insane.
So, here are some of the many ways I've been crossing the line: I new I had crossed the line big time when started buying Tiger Beat to get their posters. Also, I'm actually weirdly excited about seeing Camp Rock. I started reading JoBro fanfiction. I started sometimes using stupid really abbreviation's for Jonas Brothers (see above). I sometimes wonder if my posters are alive, and I feel really weird when i'm changing or something.

Yeah...there are more, but the main point of this blog was to pose this question to all of you:

Is there anyone else out there who HATES TO LOVE the Jonas Brothers? Or have I completely lost my mind?

XOXOX

Unrequited love

Here's a short little poem I wrote in like 10 minutes:

Every day he goes about his life, totally oblivious to the girl who longs to be his wife.

He is unaware that he occupies her thoughts every second of every day, she watches him all the time, but he never looks her way.

He walks right past her as she writes his name in her note book, but still he never takes the time to look.

She wills him to notice her with every part of her that she possesses, but her courage is never enough that she confesses.

And now he has unintentionally broken her heart, simply by failing to play his part.

As the years go by she puts herself back together, but of piece of her soul will be his forever.

The end.

Thanks for reading! and please let me know what you think!

hugs,

Help The Harry Potter Alliance.

Just passing along this message from the absolutely amazing Andrew Slack of the HPA:

On the heels of JK Rowling signing a statement along with thirteen other children's authors on behalf of the children of Darfur, the HP Alliance will continue to try waking up the UN Security Council to ending the genocide in Darfur the way Dumbledore's Army woke the world up to Voldemort's return.

Essentially, here's the deal: Darfur has had about 400,000 killed and over 2.5 million displaced. And since not one person has been arrested for these war crimes, the Sudanese government keeps thinking they can get away with murder.

The good news is that there's hope: the International Criminal Court (i.e. the Wizengamut) has a chief prosecutor who is working like Kingsley Shacklebolt for change from the inside. He has collected a tremendous amount of evidence linking two major Sudanese officials to engineering the killing of innocent civilians in Darfur. If the UN Security Council (the Ministry) votes to arrest these two real world Death Eaters, the Sudanese leadership either hands them over for war crimes or each of them have their bank accounts frozen...an act that would help us stop this genocide.

But the needs the UN Security Council has so far been pulling a "Cornelius Fudge" by doing nothing.

So they need to hear our voice! We need to wake them up! In June they will be voting on whether to turn these indictments into arrests.

As a Dumbledore's Army for the real world honoring JK Rowling's vocal support for the children of Darfur, we in the HP Alliance have a goal to get ONE THOUSAND signatures from all over the world to sign this peittion to the UN Security Council at wantedforwarcrimes. org/hpa

Do you think we can do it? Are there one thousand Harry Potter fans who are willing to take action on Darfur by waking up the UN Security Council? Can you sign this petition right now, can you get your friends and community members to sign it as well?

It's up to you and me.

We've moved mountains before! Let's get to work!

Andrew Slack
Harry Potter Alliance

So PLEASE do this. The HP Alliance is one of the most awesome organizations I have ever come across. Please help them out, and by doing so, help the people in Darfur. We all know how much they need it. Thank you!

Love,

Auriana

How The Jonas Brothers Are Slowly Driving Me Crazy: Part 1

Hey everyone,

as I'm sure you've concluded from the title and picture, this blog will be primarily about the Jonas Brothers.

I CAN NEVER DECIDE IF I LIKE THEM OR NOT AND THEY'RE DRIVING ME INSANE.

I just feel like if I gave in and became a fan, it would be really weird because I am totally not a fan of Disney-pop-boy-bands, and never have been. If I gave in, I'd feel...I don't know, guilty? I know that's stupid and I know I can like whoever I want, and I shouldn't care what people think, but...I dunno.

But then they're just so cool and cute funny and their style is awesome, and I love them so much! I like their music, but I'm not the hugest fan.

I crossed the line the other day and hung up some JB posters on my wall. every time I look at them, it's like Nick, Joe, and Kevin are saying "Decide, decide, decide!" and it was SO FREAKING ANNOYING AND I THINK I'M REALLY GOING MAD.

so I moved them to a less obvious spot on my wall. but that's beside the point.

I have some advice for you: If you are thinking about becoming a Jonas Brothers fan, DON'T. BECAUSE ONCE YOU GET SUCKED IN YOU CAN'T GET OUT.

yeah.

Also crossing the line, I've been watching Jonas vids on YouTube.
This one is my fave:

BAHAHAHAHAH "Oh how the tables have turned."

...I don't know why I find that so funny.

So, in conclusion, I love the Jonas Brothers, but I also sorta don't like them.
It's a love-hate relationship :D

love, Auriana.

P.S. Welcome to Pottercast, Frak! I've always loved you and your art, and I am thrilled that you are on the show now! yay for Pottercast quartet!

Random

Hey everyone!

I thought it would be cool to share some random facts about myself, because some of this stuff is so random it would probably never come up in regular conversation.

lets see..

1. I'm scared of mirrors, but only at night. I dunno why, I'm just scared I'll see ghosts in them or something XD

2. I drink way more milk than I'm sure any doctor would recommend.

3. I have more online friends than "real" ones.

4. It's my dream to own a pair of Converse in every color.

5.My favorite color is purple, but I almost always wear blue because it looks better on me and matches my eyes.

6. I've lived in 8 different houses in my life.

7. I think superheros are awesome, but I didn't when I was little.

8. I am taller than pretty much all of my friends.

9. I'm double jointed and I can do weeeiird stuff with my fingers.

10.I've stayed up until five and woke up three hours later at eight. And didn't even take any naps the next day.

11. If I had a time machine, I'd go back to 1964, to the height of Beatlemania.

12. I had hermit crabs for about 3 years before the last one died.

13. I had guinnia pigs (no idea how to spell that) for about 3 months before the people who gave them to us kindly took them back.

14. Part of the reason that I read so much is that I find it easier to live in a fictional world than the real one.

15. I have Harry Potter related dreams on a regular basis.

Aaaaaand that's all I can think of right now.

Hugs,
Auriana

I have a boyfriend!!!!!

It's true! YAY! He is so amazing. His name is Jake. He's 15. I met him at the grocery store about a week ago. He saw me and gave me his phone number, and the rest is history ^.^ I'll tell you a little about him:

He's an Emo, and he never wears anything but black. I think if he had a Hogwarts house, it would be Ravenclaw or Slytherin, although he doesn't like Harry Potter at all. The kind of music he likes is Rap, Hip Hop, metal and of course, Emo. He LOVES watching sports, especially golf. He doesn't like reading. His favorite movies are horror flicks, "The more violent the better" as he always says. :) His dream is to one day move to rural Alaska, where he can't be as easily bothered by society. His favorite foods are mushrooms and green beans. He doesn't get online, because he thinks it's overrated. He doesn't like drawing, but he writes a lot of poetry.

I know we sound a little different, but he's amazing, and we love each other very much.

Love,

Auriana

Hi again!

Hello everyone!

New layout, as you can see! tell me if you like this one or not. The pic on the side is, obviously, moi. I might change that, but I'm going to try it out and see how i like it for now.

It's almost April here in lovely rainy Oregon, and it snowed today. But whatever. we only got snow like once during the winter, so I'm not complaining. but if it doesn't get sunny soon I'm moving to California. Forget the fact that I'm 13, can't drive, and don't have any money...haha.

I think that's all I really have to say.

Peace out<3

Auriana

Friday, March 21, 2008

Hello.

Hey there, faithful readers (ha!).

Sorry I haven't written for a while, to those few people who actually read my blog. But that means that I have all the more to talk about in this blog!

OK, so first of all, I should have realized that I have terrible memory, and I should never have committed myself to posting a video every week. So say good-bye to Video Of The Week. That doesn't mean that I won't ever post a video if I ever come across one that I really love. Speaking of which, if you haven't already, please check out these totally awesome Youtube channels!

youtube.com/fiveawesomegirls

&

youtube.com/fiveawesomeguys

They are both hilarious and I try to watch them every day if I have time. Fiveawesomegirls even has Lauren of the Moaning Myrtles, and Kristina of the Parselmouths!!

So in my 'Stuff that bothers me' post a few weeks ago, one of the things on the list was Yoko Ono. Please, if you are a Yoko fan, don't jump down my throat for that. Honestly I'm going to have to do a bit more research on everything that went on when Yoko came into the picture before I decide weather I like her or not. As of this moment I don't really have an opinion one way or the other.

Moving on...I'm about half way through Eclipse, the third book in the Twilight series! This series is just so awesome. I love all the characters so much. A lot of people say that Bella is pathetic, weak, and annoying. I don't agree with that at all. I find her very easy to relate to, actually. That may sound strange as I'm such a cheerful Hufflepuffy sort of person, but just the way Bella thinks and acts a lot of the time reminds me so much of myself. When Edward left Bella in book 2, some people said "She's so pathetic! she needs to get over it!" but I think that if I loved someone on the level that Bella loves Edward, and then one day, with no warning at all, he just up and left me...well, I don't think I'd react any better than Bella did. And as for the Cullens, they're all wonderful, awesome, funny characters also, and I love them all so much . however I must say that I'm more preferable to werewolves ;)

Also, speaking of books, I just finished the 4th Maximum Ride book on Tuesday(it came out on Monday)! It was great! It was shorter than the others, but whatever. All of the Flock's new powers are so cool! Well, maybe not Gazzy's LOL. And of course, being the fangirly shipper type that I am, the thing that most interested me in this book was the ongoing drama of Fang and Max's
relationship ^^ I'm actually pretty annoyed with Max in this book, because for the 2nd time, SHE FLEW AWAY WHILE FANG WAS KISSING HER! and even worse, she still has the nerve to get mad at him for flirting with other people...I really don't think that's fair at all. I mean, how can she BLAME him? But I also can sort of understand Max's feelings. I mean, God knows that I know what it's like to be jealous.

I'd write more, but I'm going to go paint easter eggs with my sister! yaaaaay!

peace out, everyone.

Love,

Auriana

The List Of Stuff That Bothers me.

1. People who think that if you have more Harry Potter merchandise, that that means you are a bigger fan. That's NOT true. There is only one way to measure how much of a fan you are, and that is by how much LOVE you have for the series, not how much stuff your rich parents bought you.

2. People who think fangirls are dumb. just because we go crazy over Alex Carpenter or someone like him, it doesn't mean we're not smart, it doesn't mean we're ditzy, and it doesn't mean that all we care about is looks. I can't speak for all fangirls, but not only do I love Alex because he's gorgeous (haha), I also love him because he is one of the sweetest, funniest, nicest, most awesome, guys I've ever met.

3. Yoko Ono. Pretty much says it all, eh?

4. Harry Potter haters. If they hate the series for religious reasons, then there isn't much i can do. But I cannot stand it when they try to make ME stop liking the books. It's like gay bashers who try to make you come around and see how wrong it is. I'm not saying it's OK for them to be so prejudice, but it's just about the worse thing ever when they try to push their messed up ideas on you.

I'M A BIG SISTER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday, Feb 9th at 9:50 PM my brother was born!!!! He was 8 lbs, 5 oz, and i think he was 21 inches long but i don't remember for sure O.o His name is Ewan Scott [insert my last name here]. He has blue eyes like me, and his hair is brown at the moment. but will probably get blond like mine and my sister's did. I'll get pictures up as soon as i can! My mom and brother finally got home yesterday and are doing great. AH I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!

It's Saturday!

Yay! Today was...uneventful. I talked to my friend Ashley on the phone for like an hour,
And then I ate apples, and then I was online for a long time. I also drew some pictures, and read a few chapters of Twilight, which my awesome friend Allie recommended to me. and now I'm back. That's a typical weekend for me:)

So...It's getting so close to Feb 4th, which is my mom's due date. AAAAHH!!!!! these are some names from my mom's baby name list:
Ewan
Julian
Cullen
Sean.

I think everyone on our family likes Ewan the best. Feel free to comment with your fave, or if you have any other ideas :)

Also today I have to start selling Girl Scout cookies, which I really don't like doing. I mean, sure, it's fun to support my troop and everything, but I am really not a salesperson. The good part is, I love the cookies:B

This is random but...I'm wearing a Slytherin ring! I am totally not a Slytherin (Hufflepuff, baby!), but this is awesome. it's a snake that coils up my finger. And, no Hannah, you can't have it because it's actually my mom's. and yes I can read your mind.

Love,
Auriana.

Yay blog!
