An old post

I was looking at my old Harry Potter blog that I shared with my two best friends, and I found this post from about a year ago and just wanted to share it with you. I think it's pretty amazing if I do say so myself ;)

Hey.
it's Auriana here and I'm ready to give you your weekly dose of crazy Hufflepuff fangirliness and Wizrock chatter! yaaaaaaay!

So, every week I go roller skating at this weird, little underground place that has like discounted Home school skating hours. The guy who runs the place said that if anyone wants to, they can bring music and he'll play it while we skate. So for the past couple of weeks I've been bringing different WR Cd's, and the effect has just been so awesome! when I brought my Cd's I was just thinking that it'd be more fun for me skating to this music than Fall Out Boy or whatever crap they were playing before. But the atmosphere is just so much more happy now. every one's grinning, even if they don't understand the music at all. and then there are a ton of people who love HP and are huge fans, but have never been exposed to the huge online fandom, and wrock pretty much lives through the Internet so there isn't really any way for them to know about it until they hear some. So we'll all be skating, and someone will stop and look all confused and ask me "Did they just say 'Harry Potter?'" And I just grin and start explaining. It's great. and then at the end i show them all what album i brought and I tell them where to get it and then they go buy it. So as a bonus I'm actually helping the bands make money ^.^
But for me it isn't really about that...It's about sharing this amazing community I've become a part of with as many people as I possibly can. Because there has just been so much more fun and love in my life since I started going to wrock shows and I want anyone who likes Harry Potter even just a tiny bit to know about it and become part of it. And thats another great thing about Wizard Rock. It is so easy for fans to get involved and talk to the bands and get autographs and pictures and...It's just...too good for words. Really amazing. as hard as I try I really can't even begin to describe the feeling of being at a wrock concert. But hey, I'll try.

*takes deep breath*

It's like going down in an elevator at 100 miles an hour and being hugged by Paul McCartney and getting drunk on apple juice and fireworks inside your brain and jumping off a cliff and then sprouting wings out of your shoulders and Disneyland exploding and reforming on the moon.

Hahahahahahahahahah wow. Tell me my explanation wasn't FREAKING AWESOME?! OK...so I might have scared off a few people who were thinking of joining the wrock scene, but trust me...It's the most wonderful thing in the world.

WOW that was long. but I just needed to get my feelings out. I hope nobody actually wasted their time reading this...

HUGS!!!
Auriana.
